Unbound AI is designed to process chat messages entirely on the user’s iPhone after the one-time model download.
Summary
Unbound AI does not collect, sell, share, upload, or use chat messages for tracking or advertising. The app has no account system, analytics SDK, telemetry service, advertising SDK, cloud inference service, or developer-operated backend.
Model setup and network use
First-time setup downloads a fixed AI model from Hugging Face using a revision-pinned file URL. Hugging Face and ordinary internet infrastructure may receive standard connection metadata, such as IP address, request time, device information, and transfer details. Chat messages are not included in the model download request. See Hugging Face’s privacy policy for its practices.
After the model is installed and verified, inference, history, stop, regenerate, and search run locally inside the app. Optional attribution links in About open external websites only when you choose them.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. The app uses StoreKit to receive the signed product and entitlement information needed to unlock access. The developer does not operate a purchase server and does not receive chat content with purchase information. Apple processes purchase and Apple Account data under its own privacy policy.
On-device storage
Conversations and the downloaded model are stored in the app’s private container. Both storage directories are excluded from device and iCloud backups. Conversation history remains on the device until you delete individual chats, clear all conversations, or remove the app.
If the conversation database becomes unreadable, the app may preserve a local recovery copy. It remains inside the app’s backup-excluded private container and is not uploaded.
Your choices
- Delete one conversation from its conversation menu.
- Use Clear conversations in Settings to remove local history.
- Delete the app to remove its local storage.
- Use Airplane Mode after setup to verify offline inference.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account subscription settings.
Generated content and age
The included model has reduced safety filtering and may produce inaccurate, sensitive, or inappropriate content. Review important answers independently. Unbound AI is not designed for children.
Changes and questions
Material policy changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. For help with the app, visit Support or use the developer contact shown on the App Store listing. Please do not send private conversation content when requesting support.
